Can't save Word file to G:Drive folder

To reinstall Drive for desktop to fix miscellaneous issues in Microsoft Windows, follow the steps below:
  1. Temporarily disable all antivirus, firewall, and browser extensions.
    • Re-try to see if the issue is resolved.
  2. Check that you don't have any Un-synced data.
  3. Exit Drive for desktop.
  4. Clear files cached on your computer.
    • Go to: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Google\
    • Delete the DriveFS folder.
  5. Restart the computer to clear any cached settings.
  6. Download GoogleDriveSetup.exe - Click here
  7. Run the installer.
If you are still having the same issue, contact a Drive Support Specialist or if the account is a business or education account refer to your Administrator as they control all settings and are the only people who can initiate support.
